Sunset over the town of Pahrump

This popular site is just outside the city of Pahrump, NV, on BLM land.  A caravan favorite, it features good cell signal, proximity to town, desert brush, mountain and city light views and wonderful sunsets.

The specific information, directions and GPS coordinates will be posted here one to three days before the start of the Caravan start date on October 11, 2023.

DIRECTIONS

From Pahrump at Hwy NV-16o E and Hwy NV-372,

• Drive northwest .9 miles on Hwy NV-160 W:
• Turn right onto E Basin Ave
• Drive 3.7 miles (pavement ends at 2.8 miles)
• Turn slight left onto Wheeler Pass Road
• Drive .8 miles
• Turn right off of the gravel road onto the desert dirt road at xxxxxx
• Drive about 400′ to Center Camp at xxxxxx

IMPORTANT NOTES

• A HOWA staff or volunteer will be at the center camp site the first few days to help establish the Caravan. Be friendly to make friends. Check out the FAQs on the Caravan webpage to learn what to expect and what to do when you arrive.
• Other non-Caravan campers will likely be sharing this public land.
• No amenities are available at Caravan Camps (water, trash, bathrooms).  Be prepared to be 100% self-sufficient.
• Leave the camp in better condition than found.  Leave No Trace!
• Pahrump, NV is the closest town for amenities (water, trash, showers, etc.)
