Welcome! This HOWA In-Person Caravan is designed with traveling nomads in mind, especially those who are newer to life on the road and looking for community, connection, and a slower, less overwhelming way to get involved. This caravan will take place June 7 – 20 in the National Forest near Mammoth Lakes, California. In-Person Caravans do not travel from place to place, instead, we stay put for 12–14 days while participants explore the surrounding area at their own pace. Rather than schedules and mandatory activities, we have anchors (hosts) on site who help create opportunities to connect, such as shared meals and potlucks, movie nights, and campfires when conditions allow.

Drive 4/10 of a mile east on Owen River Road. Look for the dirt road that angles off on the right. If you miss that turn the actual road is 200′ west but the entrance is steep.
. At the Y, take the road to the left and go approximately 2/10 of a mile. Camp on either side of the road.
Look for the anchors/hosts in white van on the left and the white RV on the right. There’s a lot room so find a spot, get set up, and stop by to introduce yourself. 🙂
