A few years back I started a new adventure — living a nomadic lifestyle. During my first year I lived on a boat in the Pacific Northwest. It was a wonderful experience, but I longed for more mobility, more sunshine, and more community. So, I bought a 16’ Scamp trailer and went in search of community in the desert. It took very little time to connect with like-minded people and to start a very rewarding life of traveling and living in community with other nomads. About a year ago I was approached by the Homes On Wheels Alliance (HOWA) to discuss the possibility of becoming a trustee. I knew of Bob Well from his Cheap RV Living YouTube channel and from the RTR gatherings. I already believed deeply in his vision for providing more sustainable living to those on the economic fringes of society. So, it was a natural fit for me. My own history as a University Professor and business consultant gave me the background I needed to help steer this important organization. I am honored to now be part of HOWA and to able to, in some small way, help those less fortunate than myself to live happier and more sustainable lives.
