VEHICLE GRANTS

Homes On Wheels Alliance (HOWA) provides vehicles to people on the edge of homelessness.   In addition to receiving a home on wheels, HOWA volunteers mentor the vehicle recipients to help them learn to succeed in the mobile lifestyle, learning the tips and tricks of living out of a vehicle.

HOWA purchases or accepts donations of vehicles in good condition — mechanical and body — with less than 100,000 miles and a clean title.  Each vehicle is inspected and any deferred maintenance completed before granted to the recipient.

Due to new constraints on HOWA’s liability insurance, we are creating new processes and procedures to complete these grants.  Please stand by as we develop them.  HOWA hopes to share the new steps to apply for a vehicle before the end of 2023.
