Hi, I’m Pete. I’m a full-time nomad who’s been traveling the U.S. since Sept. 2018 with my dog, Kitty. I live in a converted school bus named Tom and tow a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon called Ruby. I work remotely doing IT, bookkeeping, and payroll, and I also install off-grid solar systems for RVs and converted campers.

My journey into this lifestyle began while I was simply looking for a shipping container to store some extra supplies. Along the way, I stumbled across a video from Bob Wells about nomadic living, and it opened my eyes to a different way of life. I later discovered Brian from AdventureVanMan, and that sealed the deal—I bought a van, built it out, and gave myself six months to try the lifestyle. Within six weeks, I was hooked.

I fell in love with the freedom of the road, being outdoors, and living on my own terms.

I’m happy to now have the opportunity to help Homes On Wheels Alliance (HOWA)—a nonprofit that supports the very community that changed my life. Though I’m new to the organization, I’m excited for the adventures ahead and grateful to give back to my fellow nomads.
