“Mentoring Camp—a hands-on camp designed specifically for those who are low-income and in their 1st year of nomadic living.”
🛠️ What Is the Mentoring Camp?
The Mentoring Camp will be a relaxed, friendly gathering in Pahrump NV, much like an in-person caravans, but with the added bonus of experienced mentors on hand. The mentors will be there to answer questions and share knowledge about starting the nomad lifestyle – from understanding the basics of your vehicle to figuring out how to transform it into a comfortable, livable rig. Whether you’re brand new to life on the road or want to make your setup more functional, this camp is a chance to learn, share, and connect in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Embarking on a nomadic lifestyle can be both exciting and overwhelming. If you’re new to dry camping (boondocking) and want to gain essential skills while building confidence in your ability to thrive on the road, Homes on Wheels Alliance (HOWA) invites you to apply to our Mentoring Camp, a hands-on camp designed specifically for those in their 1st year of nomadic living.
Over the course of 7 days, participants will receive mentorship, while being in a supportive community of like-minded individuals. This Mentoring Camp is tailored for those who are committed to achieving self-sufficiency, learning long-term stability, and improving their quality of life.
The intent of this program is to teach you how to not only survive but thrive on the road!
