Homes on Wheels Alliance (HOWA) is pleased to welcome well-behaved dogs at our events and gatherings. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, we have established the following guidelines and policies regarding dogs at our events and gatherings:
General Dog Guidelines:
- Leashes: Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash 6 feet or shorter at all times.
- Behavior: Only well-behaved dogs are permitted. Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior or excessive barking may be asked to leave.
- Health: Dogs that are ill, in heat, or otherwise unfit to be around others are not permitted.
- Owner Responsibility: Dog owners are required to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of waste.
Dog Bite Policy:
If a dog bite occurs at a HOWA hosted event, HOWA event organizers will follow local Dog Bite Laws.
For events and gatherings in Quartzsite, AZ, HOWA will comply with The La Paz County Dog Bite Laws, as outlined in LPC Animal Ordinance No. 2019-01. Key points include:
- Immediate Action:
- The dog involved in the bite will be required to leave the event immediately and will not be allowed to return.
- HOWA event organizers will report the incident to local law enforcement.
- Dog Owner Requirements:
- Dog owners must provide proof of current licensing and up-to-date vaccination records.
- Failure to provide this documentation may result in the dog being impounded by local authorities.
- La Paz County Ordinance Compliance:
