The first Rubber Tramp Rendezvous, held in 2011, was initiated by Bob Wells as a boot camp and support system to help people and to inspire them to happily embrace the mobile life instead of struggling to survive. Fifteen years and thousands of attendees later the RTR’s core mission remains unchanged. The WRTR, an event that specifically addresses the concerns of nomadic women, began in 2018 and is held just before the RTR.

There is something for everyone at the RTRs! The stage is the location of daily, informative seminars. Small breakout sessions delve deeper into the topics.

Nomads contribute items they no longer need – all free to fellow nomads!

Volunteers repair clothing and other fabric items. Game tables are staffed by volunteers.

Open houses allow nomads to show off their vehicle builds. A good way to get ideas!

Free cold weather gear is provided for people in need.

Tech support! – Food trucks! – Buskers! – Tee Shirts! – Bulletin Board! – Buttons! – And more!

Come join in the fun next year!

We are very grateful for all the wonderful volunteers. Without them the RTRs would not be possible. Thank you volunteers!

We are also grateful for our sponsors and partners: Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank, Escapees RV Club, Harvest Hosts, the Town of Quarzsite, Mail, Messages, and More, RV Life, OUPES, Columbia, the National Vehicle Residency Collective, the Red Cross, and Veterans Affairs.

RTR gatherings are free and accessible to all; however, we rely on community support to cover event expenses. Donate to the RTR Here or donate to HOWA by buying sweepstakes tickets for Bob’s Ambulance. Sweepstakes
