Join HomesOnWheelsAlliance (HOWA) in Pahrump, Nevada, for our Fall BYOV (Bring Your Own Vehicle) event! This year’s week-long gathering is designed to help nomads build community, get support, and improve their mobile living situations.

🔋 Solar Power System Grants

HOWA will be granting 200-watt solar power systems during this event. Selected low-income nomads will have their systems installed by HOWA’s skilled team of volunteers.

Eligibility criteria will be included in the application form. If you do not qualify, the form will let you know automatically. Recipients will be selected based on demonstrated need.

This is not a full van build event—only solar power systems will be installed.

🏕️ Successful Applicant are:

NOMADS who: 

Use their drivable vehicle as their fulltime home.  

• Can NOT afford even basic electrical power for charging devices on the road.
• Need power to charge your electronics, run a small 12v refrigerator, fans, or CPAP machine.  
• Boondock (camp off-grid with no water, sewer, electricity, or trash) using their vehicle as their full time home on wheels.  

• Are financially capable of driving your vehicle home to Pahrump, Nevada BYOV event. 
• Able to Boondock for 1 week with other recipients and volunteers for 5 days. 
• Agree to be interviewed, videotaped, and/or photographed for sharing on HOWA website, social media, etc. 

If you answered “yes” to each of these qualifications, HOWA wants you to apply!
